Abstracts and Full Papers
Contributions are welcome in the following areas (but are not limited to):
Fundamental photoluminescence properties & spectroscopic measurements
Modeling, first-principles calculations
Photonic devices exploiting rare-earths characteristics
Rare-earth-doped crystalline materials
Transparent ceramics and glass-ceramic materials
Rare-earth optical amplifiers for telecommunication
Fiber lasers and micro-chip lasers
Phosphor materials for solid-state lighting
Up- and down-conversion for photovoltaic applications
Rare-earth-doped materials for biological applications
Effect of mixed-anion coordination of rare-earth ions on luminescence
A limited number of post-deadline abstracts, presenting innovative results, could also be considered. The post-deadline submission deadline will be 1 November 2017 .
SPECIAL ISSUE of OPTICAL MATERIALS
Full manuscripts could be submitted to the special issue of Optical Materials which will collect selected papers from PRE17. Submission of the full manuscripts will be open on November 1st, 2017 and will be possible until the deadline of March 15th, 2018. The publication of the Special Issue is expected to occur in September 2018. Further details will be given later on.
Thanks to the financial support by Centro Fermi and ICG, all the papers in the Special Issue will be open access.
SPECIAL ISSUE on GLASSY MATERIALS BASED MICRODEVICES
An alternative option to publish extended papers of the presentations at PRE’17 (but also material not presented at PRE’17) is constituted by the Special Issue of the journal Micromachines (IF = 1.83), focused on Glassy Materials Based Microdevices.
Contributions related to the technologies, glassy materials, design and fabrication processes, characterization, and, eventually, applications are welcome.
Please contact the Guest Editors Giancarlo Righini (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Nicoletta Righini (email@example.com) for any additional information.
The submission is open and the final deadline is 1 July 2018.
